Alumni Mentoring Program

The ADG Alumni Board is proud to present to its Membership our first ever ADG Alumni Mentorship Program.  Initially this will be a one-on-one relationship, pairing experienced ADG Alumni with anyone, at any age, from our membership who would benefit from a Mentoring Relationship. Over time we may bring together small groups of men who are going through similar life struggles to participate in both a one-on-one Mentorship and a more formal Men's Group. As our program develops we have plans to offer mentorships to the LMU ADG Actives and as well as a Big Brother type program for incoming pledge classes.

There are numerous reasons why men are joining Mentorships & Men’s Groups. Men today are facing a  number of unique challenges that inevitably lead them to seek out the council of other like-minded men. You can join in a Mentorship while being at any stage of your life. Guys will ask clarifying questions about your relationships, career, emotions, inspirations, lifestyle, communication, the list goes on. At the end of the day, you can expect most Mentorships are just about guys getting together to chat about life.

Here are a few of the issues affecting men today:

  • Becoming a better dad, husband, friend, etc.
  • Better at communication around a wide range of men’s topics
  • Accountability
  • Help with getting things off of your chest
  • Find direction with things like career/purpose
  • Find more happiness
  • See more success in your life
  • Real friendships that provide support outside of meetings or formal therapy
  • Get advice from others who have already been through a similar situation, saving you time and energy

Mentors and Mentees will set their own schedules and meeting times but typically will check in at least 2x a month over the course of a 1 year time commitment. Most interactions will be held over the phone or by zoom so you can participate anywhere. Our program will provide structure and follow up and is being developed/curated by Marco Ruano('78) & Ben Hensler('92).

We are currently pairing both Mentors & Mentees. If you would like more information about participating as  either a Mentor or a Mentee please click the link below, submit the form, and we'll contact you about taking the next steps.

I'm Interested in Being a Mentor/Mentee
